Matt’s trip runs Wednesday, September 1 through Monday, September 6, 2027. Join for all of it—or whatever days work for you.

Sea Hag Marina is home base. Each group books its own lodging and boat plan, while daily departure times stay flexible around conditions and attendance.

Check weather and water conditions, confirm the crew, and decide when and where to head out.

Scallop & swim

Load the food and scallop coolers, boat to the grass, and spend the day snorkeling and swimming.

Evening

Coordinate dinner

Everyone handles breakfast and lunch individually. The group decides on seafood, grilling, or dinner out each night.

Pack for the day

Bring the essentials.

Keep food and drinks separate from the day’s catch: bring one cooler for food and drinks and another cooler for scallops.

Sea Hag’s dive shop carries scalloping gear during the season, but bringing your own makes it easier to get on the water.

These can make scalloping, shucking, and downtime on the boat more comfortable.

Plan for five or fewer people per boat

For whole bay scallops, the current limits are:

  • 2 gallons per person
  • 10 gallons maximum per vessel
  • 5 or fewer people per boat to preserve the full 2-gallon allowance per person

Dates, limits, licensing, and gear rules can change. We’ll re-check everything for 2027, and FWC’s current guidance remains the source of truth.
